In Winnipeg, the Red River College, Creative Communications program is known for its excellent students. This year, we’re happy to welcome Owen Black to our little crew.
Owen has always been obsessed with strategy. Whether it was growing up watching every episode of Survivor or helping organize and run political campaigns at the University of Manitoba, strategy is always at the forefront in everything Owen does, especially in his work at Dooley PR & Marketing.
This passion for strategy is why Owen recently completed the Creative Communications program at Red River College, specializing in Public Relations and Communication Management. Owen also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with distinction from the University of Manitoba, majoring in political studies and women’s and gender studies.
By combining the skills acquired from both his degree and diploma, Owen helps craft timely and successful communications for a wide array of businesses and organizations. When Owen isn’t typing away furiously at his computer, he enjoys taking his drone out and shooting some superb photography and giving his dog, Blue, too many treats. Owen also loves to travel and tries to visit at least one new country every new year. While the pandemic may have delayed his visit to country number 40, as soon as it’s safe to travel again, Owen will be walking down the aisle – of a plane.
But before he can travel he has to finish this internship. We have no doubt he’s going to do incredible things with his career!
