We’re happy to welcome Jennifer Pazdor to Dooley PR. She is a Public Relations major in the Creative Communications program at Red River College and has just finished her final term in the program. She is also finishing the Joint Communications degree this year with the University of Winnipeg. She’s joining us for a three-week work placement.
Jennifer is interested in public relations because she likes coming up with strategic ideas and thinking on her feet. She also enjoys getting to meet and collaborate with new people to create projects.
Previously, Jennifer was part of a project that won the Champions of Mental Health award in the youth category in 2015 and she has been invited to speak at Facebook HQ in Toronto. Since then, Jennifer has become a passionate mental health advocate and started the mental health and self-care initiative Love Your Mind. This initiative features workshops for young adults, a weekly blog and social media accounts promoting positive mental health. Jennifer also currently works at the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba as the Event and Assistant Fundraiser and has done public speaking about mental health in her free time.
Jennifer enjoys going for walks in nature and doing photography. She loves being outside and her favourite place to be is Falcon Lake where she goes camping every summer. When she is in Winnipeg, you can usually find her at a local coffee shop sipping a latte.
